On February 21, developers of Zcash – a totally anonymous cryptocurrency – officially presented the project’s road map.
Decentralized payment system was launched in autumn of 2016, generating lots of buzz in the community and a stir at exchanges. Zcash was funded by Barry Silbert, Vlad Zamfir, Roger Ver and a number of companies well-known in the industry.
Zero-Knowledge Protocol, which forms the basis of Zcash, will be discussed with the engineer of the project, Ariel Gabizon, on April 19.
The topic of his presentation: “Private Transactions on a Public Blockchain using Zero-Knowledge Proofs".
Ariel Gabizon – a cryptocurrency engineer having experience in such research projects as The Hebrew University, Weizmann Institute of Science and Israel Institute of Technology. The object of his research is ZKP algorithm and the connection between Theoretical Computer Science and Blockchain Technology.
